The School of the Performing Arts is excited to connect with you during this time!  Don’t miss a beat and hone your skills at home virtually through Google Meets. Our virtual classes connect you with Broadway professionals and theatre industry professionals in a small group class setting to give each student individualized attention!

Broadway Dance Technique
Date: 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021
Instructor: Marcus Shane
Ages: 14-21
Tuition: $25
Experience Level: Intermediate – Advanced
Students will need an 8ft x 8ft open area to move/dance around in and wear clothes that they can easily move in.

Broadway Vocal Technique
Date: 12 – 1:15 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021
Instructor: Shereen Ahmed
Ages: 14-21
Tuition: $25
Experience Level: Beginner- Intermediate – Advanced
Students are expected to prepare 32 bars of a song accompanied by an online track of their choosing or acapella. Students will then receive feedback from the instructor.

All Collaborative Classes @ Home take place on Google Meets. Students are expected to have a working microphone and webcam to participate in the class. A link to the class will be e-mailed to the purchaser a few days prior to class.

Meet the instructors:

Marcus Shane

Marcus Shane is currently serving as the Assistant Dance Captain/Swing for the Mean Girls 1st National Tour. Broadway Credits: Mamma Mia! National Tours: The King and I (Lincoln Center Theatre), Anything Goes (Roundabout Theatre Co.)

Shereen Ahmed

Shereen made her Broadway debut as Ms. Clara Eynsford- Hill/Ensemble and Eliza understudy in Lincoln Center Theater’s production of My Fair Lady. Her regional credits include Legally Blonde (Vivienne), West Side Story (Anita), Shrek (Princess Fiona) and Jekyll & Hyde (Lucy). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology & Anthropology with a concentration in Criminal Justice from Towson University. Endless gratitude to the entire My Fair Lady team and Telsey + Company for this opportunity! Love always to my friends and family for their infinite support.
